Group Leader for BF-IGV Group 2 Local Police Area Eastern Norrbotten

The Police Region North is the largest region in terms of area. The region consists of the four northernmost counties in Sweden and is organized into four police areas: Jämtland, Norrbotten, Västerbotten, and Västernorrland, which together are divided into 12 local police areas. Furthermore, there are three regional units: the operational unit, the intelligence unit, and the investigation unit, a regional office, as well as national departments represented in the region to support police operations.

The Norrbotten police area is divided into four local police areas: Luleå/Boden, Northern Lapland, Piteå/Älvdal, and Eastern Norrbotten. At the police area level, there is also an investigation section, an intervention group, and a dog unit. Additionally, there is a police area office. The Local Police Area Eastern Norrbotten is part of the Norrbotten police area. Within the local police area, there are intervention and crime prevention activities, investigation groups, as well as support and service.

We are now looking for someone who wants to work as a group leader for BF-IGV Group 2 Local Police Area Eastern Norrbotten, based in Kalix.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As the leader of BF-IGV 2, you report to the Local Police Area Chief and are part of the LPO Eastern Norrbotten management group, where you together are responsible for ensuring that missions are carried out and for driving the authority's change and development work. You have particular responsibility for the group's activities and its results and are also expected to collaborate closely with other group leaders within BFG-IGV to jointly address needs/requirements that may arise in a minute operational activity. As a group leader, you represent the entire Police Authority both internally and externally and work to strengthen trust in police operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

This is an opportunity for you who have:

• at least 6 months of continuous experience working as a supervisor, project manager, or similar
• experience participating in change and development work
• experience in the relevant area of activity
• police degree according to the Ordinance (2014:1105) on training to become a police officer

We consider it an advantage if you also have:

• experience leading others towards set goals and results
• participated in management forums
• experience of the police organization's operations
• leadership training for direct, indirect, and/or strategic level
• experience participating in/driving collaboration with community actors outside the police organization/your own organization
• experience working in external operational leadership
• managerial experience with personnel responsibility
• current experience of the regional problem picture, preferably with a particular focus on the Norrbotten police area
• good understanding and ability to express yourself in Finnish
